DVARP

Synopsis

Use DVARP to estimate the population variance by using the numbers in the specified column of a database table that match the conditions specified by the Criteria argument.

To Calculate

=DVARP(Database, Field, Criteria)

All three arguments are required for this function.

Example

Figure 17-3 illustrates how to use DVARP to find the variance of the sales numbers within the state of Texas, assuming these numbers are the entire population.
