DCOUNT

Synopsis

Use DCOUNT to count the number of cells in the specified column that contain numbers and match the conditions specified by the Criteria argument.

To Calculate

=DCOUNT(Database, Field, Criteria)

The Field argument is optional for this function. The Database and Criteria arguments are required.

Example

Figure 17-1 illustrates how to use DCOUNT to determine the number of months when demos were held in the state of Texas. Remember to use this function when you are counting numeric values only.
