STDEVPA

Synopsis

Use STDEVPA to estimate the standard deviation, assuming that the numeric values specified constitute the entire population. The standard deviation is determined by measuring how widely the values are dispersed from the mean. A logical value of TRUE is evaluated as 1. A logical value of FALSE or a text value is evaluated as 0.

To Calculate

=STDEVPA(Value1, Value2, ...)

There must be at least one Value argument specified for this function.

Example

Figure 15-44 illustrates how to use STDEVPA to find the standard deviation of a list of values for an entire population. Since the list includes two logical values, those values are evaluated as part of the standard deviation.
