Name
STDEVPA
Synopsis
Use
STDEVPA to estimate the standard
deviation, assuming that the numeric values specified constitute the
entire population. The standard deviation is determined by measuring
how widely the values are dispersed from the mean. A logical value of
TRUE
is evaluated as 1. A logical value of
FALSE
or a text value is evaluated as 0.
To Calculate
=STDEVPA(Value1
,Value2
, ...)
There must be at least one Value
argument
specified for this function.
Example
Figure 15-44 illustrates how to use STDEVPA to find the standard deviation of a list of values for an entire population. Since the list includes two logical values, those values are evaluated as part of the standard deviation.
