Name

NORMSDIST

Synopsis

Use NORMSDIST to find the standard normal cumulative distribution for a value with a mean of 0 and a standard deviation of 1.

To Calculate

=NORMSDIST(Z)

The must be a value specified for the Z argument.

Z

Indicates a numeric value for which you want to find the distribution.

Example

Figure 15-33 illustrates how to use NORMSDIST to find the cumulative normative distribution for a numeric value with a mean of 0 and a standard deviation of 1. The example also shows how to take the probability distribution returned by NORMSDIST and use NORMINV to find the inverse value.

Use NORMSDIST and NORMINV for standard normal cumulative distribution with mean of 0 and standard deviation of 1
