MIN

Synopsis

Use MIN to return the smallest value in a list of numeric values. When you use this function, cells containing logical values, error values, or text (except for text that represents a numeric value), or cells that are empty are ignored.

To Calculate

=MIN(Number1, Number2, ...)

There must be at least one Number argument specified for this function.

Example

Figure 15-29 illustrates how MIN is used to find the minimum numeric value in a list. The function ignores all non-numeric values in the list, whereas MINA looks at all values numeric, text, and logical and returns the smallest value.
