MAXA

Synopsis

Use MAXA to find the largest value in a list of arguments. This function compares numeric, logical, and text values. The logical value TRUE is evaluated as 1. The logical value FALSE is evaluated as 0.

To Calculate

=MAXA(Value1, Value2, ...)

There must be at least one Value argument specified for this function.

Example

Figure 15-28 compares the results of MAX and MAXA when used to compare a list of values. Since MAXA converts the logical value of TRUE to 1 it returns that value as the largest value.
