Synopsis
Use DEVSQ to find the sum of the squares of the deviations of a series of numeric values from the mean of the values.
To Calculate
=DEVSQ(Number1
,Number2
, ...)
There must be at least one Number
argument
specified for the function.
Example
Figure 15-11 shows how DEVSQ takes a list of numeric values and finds the sum of the squares of the deviations between the series of numeric values.
