COUNTA

Synopsis

Use COUNTA to determine the number of values within the specified list of arguments. This function counts all arguments that are not empty.

To Calculate

=COUNTA(Value1, Value2)

There must be at least one Value argument specified for this function.

Example

Figure 15-8 illustrates how COUNTA is used to count all cells that contain a value. You will notice that the function counts every cell in the range with the exception of cell A9, which is blank.
