SIN

Synopsis

Use SIN to determine the sine of an angle expressed in radians. In order to use this function the size of the angle must be in radians. You can convert degrees to radians by multiplying by π/180.

To Calculate

=SIN(Number)
Number

This required argument specifies the radian measurement of the angle for which you want to determine the sine.

Example

The ACOSH function in this chapter has an example illustrating how SIN is used to determine the sine for an angle as long as you know the radian value. For this example, we used RADIANS to determine the radian measurement for a 50 degree angle.
