Name

LN

Synopsis

Use LN to determine the natural logarithm of a number. For example, the natural logarithm of 2.7182818245904 is 1 because LN is an inversed function to EXP.

To Calculate

=LN(Number)
Number

This required argument indicates the positive numeric value that you want to find the natural logarithm for.

Example

Figure 14-8 illustrates how you can use LN to determine the natural logarithm for any positive numeric value.

Note

You can determine the value of raising the constant e to a specific power by using EXP.
