Synopsis

The File Page Setup option sets the various options related to how the worksheet is printed and viewed from Excel. The Page Setup dialog contains four different tabs for specifying the print options, as shown in Figure 3-6. The Print and Print Preview buttons on the Page Setup dialog, for example, perform the same results as selecting File Print or File Print Preview. Options allows you to customize settings for your specific printer, such as whether to print in duplex mode.

Page Tab

The Page tab, shown in Figure 3-6 indicates the orientation, scaling, paper size, print quality, and first page number for printing the workbook. By scaling the worksheet you can resize (enlarge or shrink) it proportionately to change the amount that prints on each sheet of paper. Scaling can range from 10% to 400% of the normal size of the worksheet.

Make sure the appropriate paper size and print quality are selected for your document. The selections available for each option are based on the specific capabilities of the currently selected printer.

Making the Worksheet Fit the Paper
