Consumer Letters and E-mails
With an occasional exception, most consumer letters and e-mails are written to get action and often to right a wrong (a defective product, a product in need of repair, unfair treatment, and so on).
Consumer experts don’t always agree on the best approach to get the results you seek when you have a complaint, but they offer lots of good advice. Here’s a sampling of what some experts suggest (thanks to the research of John Bear, Ph.D., author of Send This Jerk the Bedbug Letter):
