Using the Internet: Browsers

One of the great joys of having a computer is calling up information from the Internet. In this chapter, we’ll look at browsers. Browsers are programs that make searching the Internet—also known as the World Wide Websimple. You’ll be able to find information on anything, keep up with the news, or watch your favorite dramas.

There are three browsers that most people use to “surf” the web: Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Firefox. In general you don’t need all three, but it’s a good idea to have at least one alternative to Internet Explorer. Some things just work better with one browser rather than another.

First, let’s take a quick look at Internet Explorer.
