Precision Is Not Accuracy

One common blind spot is the confusion of precision with accuracy. Just because you can calculate a factor to five decimal places does not ensure that your result accurately reflects anything in the real world. Just remember that the precision of the prediction is not the same thing as the accuracy of the results. And, often there are tradeoffs between the two. Beyond a certain point, making the study more precise and detailed may make its predictions less accurate.
