Chapter 5. Level 3: Performance Evaluations

Level 3 evaluations measure job performance. This level, sometimes called application, measures to what degree learners can and do apply learning in the context of their jobs. A level 3 evaluation answers questions such as these:

  • How much better can learners perform their jobs as a result of training?

  • Do trainees apply what they learned at the right time and in an appropriate, accurate way?

  • What specific skills, knowledge, and attitudes were transferred to the workplace?
