Levels of Evaluation

Most evaluations take a layered approach using the basic model developed by Donald Kirkpatrick (1996). This model is remarkably resilient. Though it originated in 1959 when computers cost millions and weighed tons and when the word “network” applied to television and not computers, this simple four-level model provides an able framework for evaluating e-learning (figure 2-4).
