Sculpting hard surface models in ZBrush has recently become quite popular, although people seem to think that it is much harder than it actually is. In fact, once you’ve finished sculpting the surface door in this chapter and the Guardian’s weapon in Chapter 14, you may find it a little too easy. I’ve tried to cram in as many sculpting techniques as possible into this and the next chapter so that you can see how each works and decide which methods you prefer.
