ABOUT HOMEPNP
The evolution of the HomePnP specification commenced in 1995 with the formation of a group called the HomePnP task force, comprised of individuals from Honeywell, Intel, Microsoft, and Thomson Consumer Electronics. Shortly after its inception, Smart Interface, AMP Incorporated, and Interactive Media Systems joined the task force, and have substantially contributed to the specification's development. In early 1997, the task force announced it had selected the CEBus Industry Council (CIC) to complete the development of the HomePnP specification and promote its adoption by manufacturers of electronic product for the home.
