Four Emerging Technologies

Looking into the future, there are four key technologies that seem to have the potential to drive the progress of pervasive computing. These four technologies—3G cellular, voice and video over IP, digital television and radio, and piconets—are interrelated, and to a certain extent overlap. However, since they will impact what are (at the moment at least) different markets, we'll discuss them separately.
