Project I: Add Data from a Text File to a Web Page

It's common these days for programs to have a feature that displays a tip every time someone starts the program. The tip-of-the-day script lets you add a similar feature to your Web Site—a script that randomly pulls a tip from a database and incorporates it into a Web page.

Figure 2-1 illustrates how the script can be incorporated into a Web site's home page (in this case, a blurb about the softball team, one of several available options, is added to the lower left-hand corner of the home page).
