Although we’ve gotten close to reproducing the look of the book with CSS, a few things were left out. The inability to download fonts is one of the basic design limitations of the Web, although in a way it’s a blessing in disguise. Because designers can’t count on a certain font being used, they’re encouraged to think in terms of more flexible design principles.

The other big stumbling block in doing such a design is, as always, browser limitations. In this particular project, Internet Explorer for Windows was the big problem, but depending on the project you’re attempting, any browser could end up playing that role.
