Branching Out

Starting with the styles we created in this project, try to accomplish the following modifications without changing the document’s structure—and notice how easy it is to do this way instead of trying to rewrite the HTML.

  1. Eliminate the underlines from the links in the left-hand sidebar and the “breadcrumbs” area but not the right-hand sidebar or the footer. (Hint: The property text-decoration will be of use here.) In addition, give the right-hand sidebar links a different default color than the rest of the page. Use the same shade of brown that’s set in the background of the th element at the top of the right-hand sidebar.

  2. Try restyling the pullquote so that it’s noticeably different than the design we settled ...
