Telling Your Subject’s Story

Whether you are on assignment or taking pictures for family or friends, there is a story to tell about your subject. Ask yourself, “What is important?” and “Why am I taking this picture?” Then focus (pun intended) on your answer, eliminating anything that doesn’t add to the story.
