The primary intent of this book is to provide a realistic view of current practices in enterprise software delivery. Consequently, I’ve used many examples and illustrations drawn from a wide variety of sources, primarily directly from real-world situations. By necessity, I removed confidential or extraneous information, and in a few cases I’ve simplified the material for presentation. In all cases, my goal has been to keep the examples as realistic as possible.
