Karen Hardy is an expert risk management professional with extensive experience in the public sector. Dr. Hardy has designed and implemented ERM in multiple government agencies and is often sought after for advice on how to initiate ERM. She has served in the role of deputy director for risk management at a cabinet-level agency and has developed and implemented multiple agency risk management policies.
Dr. Hardy is a cofounder of the Association for Federal Enterprise Risk Management, has served as board vice president, and serves on the U.S. Technical Advisory Group for ISO 31000.
