Party Characteristics

One problem with defining attributes for Party is agreeing amongst ourselves as to just what those attributes should be. Traditionally, employee tables have had hundreds of attributes, with the attendant problems of keeping them updated, dealing with history, and linking them to reference data. Birth Date seems pretty safe for Person, although not all applications will require (or even permit) it. Gender was pretty safe in past years, but modern times have made defining the list of legal values (or even making it permanent) a little dodgy. Things like Height and Weight, of course, won’t do either, since they change over time.
