Figure 21-3 shows physical casings added to the sample Well. Note that there is an outer casing that goes to about 2300 feet in Wellbore 00”. At about that level, a smaller casing overlaps the larger one with a ring sealing the intersection. This second casing contains perforations that permit petroleum products to be drawn into the Well. This creates a single path from the holes at the bottom to the top of the well. This path is called a Completion (specifically Completion “X”). There is a third casing attached to the first that goes into Well Segment “C”.
