Many mail servers have the capability to thwart spam and viruses when they enter the network before they hit your inbox. The three most dominant products for mail servers on the Mac platform are Kerio MailServer, OS X Server Mail, and CommuniGate Pro. Each of these has their own strengths and weaknesses including virus and spam prevention capabilities.
