16.11. Server Admin from the Command Line

Mac OS X Server is a strange beast. On the surface, it's the greatest gift known to sysadmins, granting admins the ability to perform all kinds of complicated configurations quickly through a nice GUI. It can also dismay many of us who know where Unix-specifics live in the operating system and would prefer to configure things there. So, where are all those settings that override so many of the default Unix configuration files? serveradmin is the command that gives access to much of what you see in Server Admin as well as what you don't see graphically.
