If you've ever helped a friend move, and that friend was a fairly efficient mover, he probably assigned someone to stay in the moving truck to arrange everything so that the maximum amount of stuff could fit. This lets everyone else maximize efficiency by moving stuff from the house to the truck without worrying about how it's packed.
