In Chapter 1, we talked about the ideas of knowledge management and how data quality management is the basis of a successful knowledge organization. Our goals in this book have been to elucidate the topic of enterprise knowledge management from first principles: building a quality core knowledge infrastructure composed of high-quality metadata, data domains, data quality rules, and business rules.
To bring things full circle, we must provide a concise guide to the data quality approach to knowledge management.
