IPC Package

Both the {create-logon-controls} method in the Logon class and the splash-screen applet make use of classes that are found in the IPC package, which was created by the developers at Curl Corporation. In a future release of the Surge runtime environment and Surge Lab IDE, this package will be incorporated as a system package. But until then, we must create the package and define the classes that will be stored in it.

It is beyond the scope of this book to describe Curl system classes, and so we will not review the characteristics of the IPC package in great detail. However, if there is particular functionality for which you require an explanation, I suggest posting a question to the Curl newsgroup.
