Introduction

Before we start creating the enterprise Curl framework and discovering how to build applications that use its sophisticated components, you need to define an appropriate working environment on your development computer and understand some of the writing and coding conventions applied throughout this book. This is the purpose of this chapter, so please ensure that you read it closely and understand its content, otherwise some of the future chapters and code examples will not make sense, or more importantly, they will not compile and execute correctly.
