Enhydra kXML

Much of the design of EnhydraME is based on the assumption that XML will be the custom dialect-enabling protocol that links client and server.

Predictably, we are not interested in building standalone J2ME applications. Instead, we want to leverage the best of what these new devices have to offer to enhance the value of the ShowFloor application. How are J2ME devices different than the WAP mobile devices we've talked about thus far?

  • They have their own GUI library for rendering a simple set of “widgets,” such as forms, text boxes, buttons, and lists, as well as low-level graphics that turn them into excellent “monitoring” tools.
