Subscriber Management for NI-2

This section describes how you add subscribers and apply profiles to a subscriber using the Cisco Digital Subscriber Line Manager software. CDM has the following types of subscriber management options, all of which can be applied to the subscriber configuration:

  • Profile configuration, including ATM quality of service (QoS) profiles, DMT profiles, and Asymmetric DSL (ADSL) profiles

  • PVC and SPVC configuration

  • Virtual Channel Link (VCL) configuration

  • Uploading profiles and connections

Following are the processes that apply to a subscriber connection:

  • Creating an ATM QoS profile

  • Creating an ADSL profile

  • Creating a DMT profile

  • Applying your DMT profile to a DMT port on a DMT line card
