AAA Overview

This section describes the combined functionality of AAA as it relates specifically to the DSL environment. A very common real-life example of AAA is providing secure access to different network services from the same DSL connection, which must be a PPP connection to use AAA. A user might have one login account for corporate access and a different account for Internet access. Each of these accounts is identified by a unique username and password. In this way, a home office user can access a corporate network with one account while allowing his children to access the Internet with another.
