INTRODUCTION

The way in which employment law is applied within the organization can be measured by the number of Employment Tribunal claims that have been made against the company. Many of these claims ultimately fail and therefore there are problems using this as a measure. It would be preferable to deal with problems sooner rather than later, to avoid breaking the law. Measuring Employment Tribunal claims alone also assumes that when the law is broken employees will make an Employment Tribunal claim.
