REPORTING AND TAKING ACTION

Peter Drucker is famously quoted as saying, “What gets measured, gets managed.” This adage has never been more accurate than today. The reason we conduct employee surveys is to improve management effectiveness. Without the quantifiable data that a survey provides, many people-related issues would suffer from benign neglect or outright indifference.

The flipside holds as well: if you measure something you should be prepared to take action. The act of doing the measurement sends a strong signal to the survey participants and organizational stakeholders that the topics are important for key decision makers.
