Handling Feedback

First and foremost, you should prepare yourself. Be prepared to ask, “What is it they are trying to say?” “Why are they feeling this way?” “What are the implications of the feedback they are sharing?” If you have experienced the organization differently from others, then ask yourself, “Why?” The most important idea is to prepare yourself to be open-minded about the feedback. When you take the next step and hold leadership-led discussions with your employees, listen to them. It is not the time for a debate or to explain why.
