The Skills

The skills are the practical steps you can develop to overcome challenges arising from the essentials.

Having discovered the six essentials and, hopefully, having read the chapters relating to your priority essentials, now you are ready to learn and practise skills to help you be emotionally resilient. These skills enable you to take action, no matter what challenges you face with the essentials.

With the skills, the question is: ‘How do I adjust myself to handle difficult emotions?’ This involves being able to solve people problems effectively when there is emotional content.
