Willpower involves your ability to do what you intended to do even when you don’t feel like it. Willpower is linked to motivation. Motivation involves having a reason for wanting to do something. Willpower gives you the power to keep at it. Your motivation for losing weight or stopping smoking, for example, could be for health reasons. Willpower helps you to keep at it and resist the temptation to give in.
