Guilt comes in all shapes and sizes. You can feel guilty not only for something you did or failed to do, but also for what you think: wishing someone pain, misfortune or even death. You might feel guilty about your feelings – that it’s wrong to have felt angry, or jealous or, in certain circumstances, happy. Perhaps you’ve experienced guilt about not feeling something such as not reciprocating love, or not feeling grief over the death of someone close.
