Environmental stresses play an important limiting role in agricultural production. Environmental stresses adversely affect morphophysiological, biochemical, and molecular aspects of the plants, which ultimately lead to a reduction in growth and crop yield. To alleviate the effect of these stresses, plants have developed various approaches for their survival. Proper plant nutrition is one of the strategies in mitigating stress-induced damage in plants.
