Nanotechnology is a broad multidisciplinary subject and to write a comprehensive book, focussing on its applications in dentistry, is an enormous challenge. It required valuable contributions from a group of highly talented and dedicated experts. We were very fortunate to be able to call on such specialists to write comprehensive chapters within stipulated deadlines. During this 3-year quest we were inspired by the achievements and support of Prof. Sir Harold Kroto FRS who was kind enough to write the Foreword for this book.
