Analog Techniques

Abstract

This chapter explains how to work with analog voltages from a C program. The math involved with resolution, range, and accuracy is explained for all topics in this chapter.

Digital to analog converters (DACs) are explained with C examples. Analog audio formats for CD players and MP3 players are also explained. The digital communications interface (DCI) is briefly introduced. C code and all the considerations for analog to digital converters (ADC) are also covered in this chapter.

Many examples of filtering analog data are shown and explained. The use in C of the voltage reference, comparator, and voltage detect peripherals is included.
