Although the individual components and integrated circuits discussed in Chapters 3 through 7 form the A-team when it comes to shaping the flow of electrons in electronic circuits, there are a bunch of other contributing parts that the A-team relies on to help get the job done.
Some of these other parts — such as wires, connectors, and batteries — are essential ingredients in any electronic circuit. After all, you’d be hard-pressed to build an electronic circuit without wires to connect things together or a source of power to make things run. As for the other parts we discuss in this chapter, you may use them only now and then for certain circuits.
