Negotiating and renegotiating

After you work your magic with that red pen, go back to the vendor rep and hammer out the final details of the contract. You and the vendor have talked through all the details and agreed to all the terms and conditions. If there were any miscommunications or misinterpretations about terms, this is your last chance to make your voice heard and get what you want from the vendor (at least from a contract standpoint). So make any final demands or requests at this point and get it in writing.

remember.eps You can still walk away at this point. Until you sign on the dotted line, your business is up for grabs, even if you have gotten this far with a vendor. Nothing is final until you say it is.
