Faraday Cage

Overview
A Faraday cage is used to shield against electromagnetic (EM) radiation. It is basically a metal box through which electromagnetic energy cannot pass or is greatly attenuated (the energy conducts around the outside of the box but does not pass through the interior). An ungrounded Faraday cage will still protect against EM radiation, but anyone touching the outside of the cage may receive a shock based on the amount of energy built up that has not yet dissipated.
