Automatic Programmable Charger
Overview
This device charges high-energy banks of electrolytic, photoflash, and other storage capacitors from 500 to 10,000 V (note that higher voltages up to 25 kV are possible—go to www.amazing1.com for additional data). It is an adjustable voltage source with short-circuit protection. Recommended capacities are between 100 and 10,000 μF. This equates to many thousands of joules! (For comparison, the kinetic energy of a .30-06 rifle is 750 J.)
