Relativity and quantum physics may seem out of place in a book on electromagnetics, but each is crucial to the foundations of how electromagnetic fields operate. To a large extent this chapter is an excursion from what is meant to be a practical handbook, but I think the topic is too interesting not to cover. Both relativity and quantum physics are quite fascinating and each will give you a whole new perspective on electromagnetics.
